The course in detail
Data, personas, digital twins: understand, build, validate
Synthetic data, personas, digital twins: synthetic methods are making their way into research, under words that sound alike and promises that are not equal. This course offers a step-by-step path from the prompt to the calibrated synthetic panel, led by Dr Laurent Florès, professor at Université Paris-Panthéon-Assas and creator of www.FlashInsight.io.
- Module 1 – Understand: data, respondent, persona, digital twin; three uses of the same material (knowledge assistant, persona, twin) and the evidence each one requires.
- Module 2 – Build: a first persona with a simple ChatGPT subscription (from desk research and the CAFÉ prompting method to the “GPT_Persona”).
- Module 3 – Calibrate and test: move to a panel calibrated on a reference population and pre-test a concept, a claim or an ad, qualitatively and quantitatively, with FlashInsight.
- Module 4 – Validate and decide: stress tests, under-dispersion, “85% of what?”, Esomar’s 20 questions.
Goal: know how to build, assess and buy synthetic research with your eyes open, and know where it stops. Strengths and weaknesses.
